1984年生まれ。ワークセンターとよなか(豊中市)にて活動する。
2014年頃から、牛乳パックをハサミで切り、切り取った小片をプラスティックの収納ケースの中に積層させていく行為を続けている。印刷されている製品ロゴ、原材料名、栄養成分表、マークやキャラクター、バーコード等をゆっくりと切り取り、それらを一切れずつ置き、ケースの中で丁寧にレイアウトしていく。小片同士は接着していないので振動に脆く、ケースの下方や側面では雪崩を起こし、有機的な地層をつくっている。止まることなく積み重なっていく小片は、日毎に微妙に変化し、複雑な表層を見せ続ける。時々、文字が一文字ずつにカットされバーコードのライン上に並べられていくこともあり、その光景は見所の一つ。
尚、写真は、モノとして留めておけないこの行為を、支援スタッフが定期的に撮影した記録写真である。

Kyoko Nakane (born 1984) makes artworks at Work Centre Toyonaka (Toyonaka, Osaka).
Since around 2014, she has been cutting up milk cartridges with scissors and piling up the pieces in plastic storage cases.She slowly cuts out the printed product logos, ingredients, nutrition charts, marks, characters, and barcodes. She then places them carefully, making compositions in the cases. The pieces are not glued together, thus are very fragile. Avalanches occur at the bottom and sides of the cases, creating organic stratums. The pieces, which are continuously piled up without an end, change slightly everyday and keep showing new complex formations.
Sometimes single characters are cut out and placed at the top of barcode lines, creating one of the highlights in the formations.
The photographs, periodically taken by the support staff, is the records of Nakane’s ephemeral actions, which are not materialised into objects.
